After Dark | Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

We're bringing your favorite cult classics to the big screen! Join us each month for our After Dark Series, this new late-night series will showcase a mix of cult favorites, arthouse hits and rarely revisited cinematic gems from the 1960s through the early aughts.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Director Terry Gilliam (Brazil, 12 Monkeys) brilliantly captures the gonzo insanity of Hunter S. Thompson’s literary classic. A nearly unrecognizable Johnny Depp gives a madcap performance as a journalist – largely inspired by Thompson himself – navigating the desert and neon lights of Las Vegas alongside his attorney played by Benicio Del Toro. Fueled by a suitcase-full of mind-altering pharmaceutical drugs, the duo encounter a crazy assortment of characters along the way. FEAR AND LOATHING is a surreal “trip” of cult classic ‘90s cinema that you don’t want to miss on the big screen!
